The UsefulBox (UsefulBox™ in game) is an item that opens the main NPC menus from anywhere.
Obtaining[edit]
- Bought from Marcus's Miscellaneous Shop for $10,000.
- New players get one as a reward for the "Talk to Core NPCs" objective, which asks you to meet seven NPCs in spawn.
Use[edit]
Hold the UsefulBox and right-click. The menu has buttons for:
- The Keeper, the Mystic Well, Upgrades (Rocky) and the Reward Chest
- Marcus's armor upgrades and your Ender Chest
- Gareth (Hunting), the Event Shop and the Mastery Tree
- The Renown Shop (from Prestige 1) and the Runecrafter
- The Mining Shop, the Pawn Shop and the Farmer (see Skills)
- Contracts (from Prestige 6) and Cookie's Megacoin Emporium (from Prestige 12)
- The Egg Machine (Super Eggs) and the Monk
Most buttons stay locked until you have met that NPC or reached the matching objective. For example, the Mining Shop needs Mining level 2, the Farmer needs Farming level 10, and the Runecrafter needs the Runecrafting Renown upgrade. The Renown Shop, Contracts, Cookie, Egg Machine and Monk buttons only appear once you have unlocked them. While you are fighting, the Keeper, Mystic Well, Upgrades, Reward Chest and Ender Chest buttons are hidden.
The /usefulbox command[edit]
The /usefulbox command (short: /ufb) opens the same menu without holding the item. It works if you have an active Yummy Biscuit, the MVP+ rank, or a UsefulBox in your inventory.
