Combat in Pit Sandbox is built around a server-side Auto Clicker and a damage system in which most bonuses add together. This page explains both.

The Auto Clicker[edit]

Pit Sandbox has a built-in, server-side auto clicker. Hold your sword and press your drop key (Q) to turn it on or off, or use /autoclicker. The Q toggle can be turned off in your settings. While it is on, the server attacks for you at 14 clicks per second by default. It works on bots, bosses and players, with swords and a few special weapons.

The Auto Clicker upgrade raises the speed by 1 click per second per tier, up to 20:

Tier Cost Clicks per second
– Free 14
I $5,000 15
II $100,000 16
III $1,000,000 17
IV $5,000,000 18
V $25,000,000 19
VI $100,000,000 20

The Auto Clicker removes click speed as a skill gap, so combat comes down to builds, positioning and decisions.

The Free Shot Renown upgrade adds a passive strike on the bot you are facing in mid. It stacks with your own clicks and the Auto Clicker, and only hits bots.

Damage categories[edit]

Most damage bonuses are percentages that add together into one total, which is applied to your hit once. The groups below are only a way to sort the examples: some bonuses always apply, some only in certain situations, and some only against players or only against bots.

Raw damage[edit]

Always-on modifiers, for example:

  • Base weapon damage.
  • The Overkill node in the Mastery Tree: +5% per tier while on Overdrive.
  • The Enrage killstreak: +20% damage and Speed III for 8 seconds while enraged.
  • Dark Matter: +100% damage for 10 seconds.
  • Strength Chaining: +8% per kill, stacking up to 5 times, for 7 seconds (see Upgrades).

Conditional damage[edit]

Situational triggers, mostly from enchants, for example:

  • Shark: +2% to +8% per other player below 6 hearts nearby.
  • Billionaire: +33% to +105% damage, but hitting bots costs gold.
  • Punisher: +10% to +40% against players below 50% health.
  • King Buster: +15% to +46% against players above 50% health.
  • Pain Focus: +1% to +4% per missing heart.
  • The Khanate killstreak: +5% per 10 streak against players with a bounty (max +25%).
  • The Berserker Brew perk: +3% per kill, falling by 3% per second without a kill.

Player-only damage[edit]

Modifiers that only apply against other players, for example:

  • The Hunter guild perk: +5%.
  • Phoenix: +10% to +25% for 10 seconds after it revives you.
  • During one team-based major event, each team deals +30% damage to the team its element beats, and the Elemental team deals +10% damage to everyone.

Bot-only damage[edit]

Modifiers that only apply against bots and bosses, for example:

  • Megastreak-specific bonuses.
  • Mastery Tree nodes such as Monk Rage and Mutation.
  • Some enchants, such as Longsword and Soulripper.

True multipliers[edit]

A few effects sit on top of all categories as true multipliers. For example, the Haymaker rune absorbs part of the damage you take and releases it as a 2.5-heart burst on your next hit, which works as a damage amplifier.

True damage[edit]

True damage bypasses normal defenses, and very true damage bypasses even more protections. The Mirror pants enchant protects you from true damage.
