'''Upgrades''' are permanent buffs in [[Pit Sandbox]], bought with [[Currencies#Gold (Coins)|gold]] in the Upgrades menu of the '''Rocky''' NPC in spawn. This page covers the '''Passives''': upgradable, always-active buffs that are kept when you [[Prestige|prestige]].

==The Upgrades menu==
Rocky's Upgrades menu is also where you choose your [[Megastreaks|megastreak]], [[Killstreaks|killstreaks]], [[Perks|perks]], [[Blessings|blessing]] and [[Trinkets|trinket]]. The Passives button opens the upgrades on this page.

The [[Renown#Upgrade list|Scam Artist]] Renown upgrade makes everything in the Upgrades menu 4% cheaper per tier (up to 20% at tier V). The costs below are before that discount.

==Default passives==
Three passives are unlocked for every player from the start and are already at full strength. They cannot be upgraded further.

===Vampire===
Heal <span style="color:#FF5555">+0.5❤</span> on every hit, melee or arrow. The healing is tripled on a critical bow hit. The [[Renown#Upgrade list|Renowned Vampire]] Renown upgrade adds +0.15❤ to melee hits on bots.

===Strength Chaining===
Each kill gives <span style="color:#FF5555">+8% damage</span> for 7 seconds, stacking up to 5 times (+40%). Each kill refreshes the timer. The [[Bodybuilder]] perk raises the stack cap.

===Dirty===
Gain <span style="color:#5555FF">Resistance II</span> for 5 seconds on every kill.

==Purchasable passives==
Each tier is bought in order.

===Gold Boost===
Each kill has a chance to give <span style="color:#FFAA00">5x coins</span>. It has a short cooldown between triggers, and the chance is halved on shared kill rewards.
