Tryhard Bot

Tryhard Bots are rare, powerful bots that can spawn to hunt you when you kill a bot. They have 30 max hearts, wear diamond gear, strafe around you and hit much harder than normal bots, but drop valuable rewards.

Spawning

• From Prestige 5, each bot you kill has a 0.2% chance to spawn a Tryhard Bot that hunts you.
• After a Tryhard Bot spawns for you, another cannot spawn for 5 minutes. Tryhard Bots from fishing and from Soulshredder also start this cooldown.
• They do not spawn while you are on a megastreak, unless you have the Mastery Tree node Demonsplit turned on. They never spawn while you are on Riftwalker.
• The Apocalyptic Uberstreak debuff "Tryhard Bot spawning enabled" lets them spawn during that megastreak.
• Other ways to meet them:
  • the Trying Harder fishing enchant can fish one up;
  • the "Two Tryhards" debuff of Soulshredder sends two after you;
  • the Riftslayer Crown stat "Tryhard Bot Spawn Chance" raises the spawn chance (see Riftslayer Crowns).

Badges

Badges change the spawn chance and cooldown. Right-click a badge to switch its setting between Increased, Decreased and Normal; new badges start on Normal. If you carry several badges, only the first one in your inventory counts, and badges stored in a Relic Satchel count first.

Fighting a Tryhard Bot

• It has 30 max hearts, a diamond helmet, chestplate and boots, Resistance II and Strength II, and cannot be given Weakness.
• Each hit deals up to about 2.5❤ and gives Wither for 4 seconds. When you are below 5❤, most of its hits are much weaker. With Demonsplit on, its hits deal 50% more.
• It strafes around you, backs off when it gets too close, and jumps.
• If you run more than 20 blocks away (outside spawn), it deals 2❤ of true damage every second and pulls you back towards it.
• It leaves after 75 seconds ("TOO SLOW!"). It also disappears if you go into spawn or log off.
• Other players can hit it, but deal only 25% damage. Only the player it is hunting gets the Tryhard rewards.

Evolved Tryhard Bots

The Mastery Tree node Evolved Tryhard Bots (5 tiers, toggleable) makes your Tryhard Bots harder and more rewarding:

• +25% health per tier.
• At half health the bot stands still and becomes immune. It fires orbs that deal 1❤ of true damage when they land near you, and summons a zombie and a skeleton guard with 120 hearts each that only you can damage. It fights on once both guards are dead.
• All drop chances, and the Mastery XP and Megacoin amounts, are raised by 10% per tier (up to +50%).

Rewards

Killing a Tryhard Bot that is hunting you gives:

• Your guild gets 25 guild XP.
• With The Pact active and the Tryhard Conversion blessing, you also get 10 Soul Shards.
• Each kill adds to the kill counter on your Slayer, Destructor, Obliterator or Exterminator Badge. The badge's coin and XP bonus grows with each extra digit in that count (at 10, 100, 1,000 kills and so on).
• Tryhard Bot kills count towards the "Kill 15 Tryhard Bots" contract and the Tryhard Bot Kills leaderboard.
