The Mastery Tree is a large grid of permanent upgrades bought with Mastery Points. It is where you unlock every megastreak except Overdrive, and where you buy the nodes that power them up. ==Overview== * Open the Mastery Tree by talking to the Wizard. It cannot be opened while you are on a megastreak. * The tree has 114 nodes: 13 megastreak unlocks and 101 upgrades. The menu shows four rows at a time; use the arrows to scroll up and down. * Each node costs between 1 and 20 Mastery Points per tier and has up to 10 tiers (Singularity has 1,000). Megastreak nodes are bought once. * A node is locked until you own the node before it on its path, and some nodes also need a minimum prestige. * Toggleable nodes can be switched on and off with a right-click once you own them. Right-clicking an unlocked Hermit, Soulshredder or Riftwalker node shows more information about that megastreak. * Mastery Tree upgrades are kept through prestige. * Unlocking a megastreak node lets you buy that megastreak with coins in the Upgrades menu at Rocky. * Buying every node except Singularity costs about 2,850 Mastery Points, so most players work towards the branch of the megastreak they use. ==Mastery Points== Every 1,000 Mastery XP turns into 1 Mastery Point. Mastery XP comes from: * Killing bots while a megastreak is active: 1 to 2 Mastery XP per kill, at most once every 1.5 seconds. The Professional node shortens the wait, and Nightmare and the Treason blessing add more per kill. * Killing a Tryhard Bot (50 Mastery XP). * Reward Chests. * Boss hunting, with the right Hunting Talent Tree node. * Cashing in a bounty with the Self-checkout enchant. Mastery Points also come directly from prestiging (+5 each time), Daily Rewards, the Battlepass, Guilds and Golden Berries. You can hold at most 40 unspent Mastery Points. At the cap, any Mastery XP that would become a new point is lost, and most other point rewards stop at 40, so spend your points before you reach it. A few rewards, such as the Daily Rewards gift, can take you past 40. The cap limits saved points, not the total you can spend over time. If you do not have enough points for a node, clicking it offers to buy the missing Mastery XP with Gems (about 0.4 Gems per Mastery XP). This uses up all your saved points and Mastery XP as well. ==Megastreak nodes== {| class="wikitable" ! Megastreak !! Cost (points) !! Prestige !! Coin purchases of megastreaks reset when you prestige; the unlocks in the tree do not. ==Megastreak upgrades== Most nodes only work while a specific megastreak is active. They are listed with each megastreak on the Megastreaks page: Overdrive, Highlander, To the Moon, Nightmare, Uberstreak, Hermit, Highroller, Frostburn, Soulshredder, Gilded, Made of Time, Apocalyptic Uberstreak and Riftwalker. ==General upgrades== These nodes work whatever megastreak you use. {| class="wikitable sortable" !
