Skills are levelled side activities in Pit Sandbox: Fishing, Mining, Farming and Hunting. Each skill has 100 levels. Fishing, Mining and Farming each have their own shop of tools and items. Use <code>/skills</code> to see your progress and upcoming unlocks.

Levelling
Fishing, Mining and Farming use the same XP curve. Skill XP is counted as a running total: each level needs roughly 14% more XP than the one before, plus a small flat amount.
Level !! Total XP needed
The Transferrable Skills Renown upgrade gives bonus XP from kills for every skill level you have.

Fishing
Fishing is run by the Runecrafter NPC in spawn, who also sells the Fishing Shop items and handles runes.
*Every catch gives 15 fishing XP.
*Without a monster, a catch is Raw Fish (42%), Raw Salmon (42%), Pufferfish (3%), Clownfish (3%) or an XP bottle (10%). Picking up an XP bottle gives 100 fishing XP and starts a short XP minigame.
*Once you have the Runecrafting Renown upgrade, catches can also be fish monsters (Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary). Killing one gives more fishing XP (150 to 2,000) and can drop rune containers, lures and other fishing loot.
*Lures and other rod upgrades are applied to a fishing rod.

Level !! Unlock !! Price
20 || Fishing Shop; Empty Rune Sack (packages 10 runes) || 32 Pufferfish
30 || Monster Dictionary ||
32 || Monster Lure: +40% monster chance, 60 uses || $350,000
35 || Epic rune drops ||
46 || Legendary rune drops ||
62 || 3-Rune Sacrificing: sacrifice 3 runes instead of 5 (also needs Runecrafting Tier II) ||
66 || Silent Spotter: lets you catch fish that pull on your rod silently || $1,000,000 and 8 Pufferfish

Mining
Mining is run by the Miner in spawn, who sells pickaxes and the Mining Shop items. Ores appear in mining spots around each map and can be mined for mining XP and loot.
*Gold ore gives 5 to 10 XP and gold nuggets worth $30 each.
*Redstone ore gives 10 to 25 XP and a small chance of an Empty Blood Stone.
*Emerald ore gives 8 to 15 XP and a chance of an emerald.
*Some maps also have coal, iron and diamond ore. Iron ore can drop Pickaxe Upgraders.

Pickaxes
Pickaxes are bought from the Miner with coins. Each pickaxe gives Haste while held, and the higher ones also raise your chance of bonus drops from ores.
*A pickaxe can also be upgraded one level with 64 Pickaxe Upgraders, or repaired for $5,000.
*Each mining level also slightly raises your chance of bonus drops.

Mining Shop
Other items sold by the Miner unlock at these mining levels: Strength Stealer (26), Blood-Powered Magnet (29), Midnight Artifact (33), Stone Mystery Box (42), Strong Pickaxe (46), Dust Bundle (56), Miner Helmet (59), Fresh Night Pants (73) and Super Star (80).

Farming
Farming is run by the Farmer NPC in spawn. Break wheat, melon and carrot crops to earn farming XP. The Farm Shop opens at farming level 10.
