162.158.216.202: Rebuild from the current game data and the Pit Sandbox content reference

Mystic Items are the enchantable swords, bows and pants of Pit Sandbox. They come in two kinds: regular mystic items, which are permanent, and Jewel items, which are stronger but have a limited number of lives.

Enchants are added and upgraded at the Mystic Well. See Enchantments for how enchanting works and for every enchant. Once an item has 3 enchants, it can be levelled up and ascended at the well for better stats and Attributes.

Regular items and Jewel items
!! Regular mystic item !! Jewel item
Enchant slots || 3 || 3, plus a 4th with a Magical Resurrector
Total enchant tiers (tokens) || 8 || 9
Item levels and Ascension || Yes || Yes; levels 11–20 and each Ascension also add up to +20 lives

An item can hold at most 2 rare enchants.

Regular mystic items
Regular mystic swords, bows and pants have 3 enchant slots. They have no lives: they are permanent and are kept when you die, but they are weaker than Jewel items.

Jewel items
Getting a Jewel
A Jewel starts as a Hidden Jewel sword, bow or pants, found for example in Uberdrops. Complete its Hidden Jewel enchant by getting 117 kills with the item, and it becomes a Tier I Jewel with a random tier III enchant.
*A Magical Revealer applied to a Hidden Jewel skips the kill requirement.
*A Philosopher's Cactus can be turned into a completed Jewel item with an enchant of your choice.

Jewel Shards are a Mystic Well material used for the higher item levels and for Ascension.

Lives
*Each Jewel item starts with 25–50 lives, rolled at random. The item shows them as Lives: current/max.
*Item levels 11 to 20 and each Ascension give the item +1 life and +1 maximum life (see Item levels).
*Every time you die, each Jewel item in your inventory and armor slots loses a life.
*At 3 lives or fewer, the lives counter on the item turns <span style="color:#FF5555">red</span> as a warning.
*At 0 lives the item breaks and is gone for good.
*Some effects make a death cost more lives: being killed by a Soul Scythe sword while you both have The Pact active, or having the Artisan's Guidebook trinket equipped (3 lives per death).

Protecting lives
*Inventory Beacon: if you carry enough Inventory Beacons when you die, they are used up instead of your Jewel lives (one beacon per life you would lose). Beacons drop from Bosses and Uberdrops, and can be bought in the Event Shop.
*Promotion (Renown upgrade): while toggled on, saves your Jewel lives when you die on a megastreak, using Promotion uses. On Gilded, Made of Time and Riftwalker each save costs 2 uses. On Uberstreak it only works from 400 streak, and on Apocalyptic Uberstreak from 2,500 streak. It does not work while you use the Locked on Target perk.
*Divine Intervention (Renown upgrade): +5% chance per tier to keep your inventory, and your lives, on death.
*Divine Protection (Renown upgrade): while toggled on and you are not on a megastreak, 30% chance to keep your lives on death.
*Divine Miracle (pants enchant): 20% chance per tier to save item lives on death. It does not work while you carry an Inventory Beacon.
*A Mystic Repair Kit restores one Jewel item to its maximum lives.

Magical Resurrector
From Prestige 50, the rare Magical Resurrector can be found in Apocalyptic Uberdrops. Each Resurrector is for one item type: sword, bow or pants.
*Right-click it and pick a Jewel item of that type with 3 enchants. Applying it costs $100,000,000.
*It adds a random Resurrector (<span style="color:#FFFF55">RES!</span>) enchant in a new 4th enchant slot: 50% chance of tier I, 30% tier II, 20% tier III.
*After this, the item's enchants are permanently locked.
*The Experimental Attuner trinket gives a chance at a higher tier, at a higher price and a risk of breaking the Resurrector.

Item levels
Once a mystic item has 3 enchants, the Mystic Well's enchant button is replaced by a Level Up button. Every mystic sword, bow and pants, regular or Jewel, has an item level from 0 to 20, shown on the item as Lv. 0 to Lv. 20 once it has an enchant.

Each level raises the item's base stat:
Item !! Per level !! At level 20
Sword || +0.05 to the sword's Damage stat (7.75 at level 0), about +0.025❤ per hit || Damage 8.75
Bow || +0.05❤ arrow damage || +1❤ arrow damage
Pants || -1% melee damage taken || -20% melee damage taken
Pants show this bonus, together with any Ascension bonus, as Defense: 5 (+N%). The level part only reduces melee hits.

*Reaching level N costs N × $500 and 3 + 3 × N Mystic Dust: level 1 costs $500 and 6 Mystic Dust, level 20 costs $10,000 and 63 Mystic Dust. Levels 11 to 20 also cost 64 Jewel Shards each. Swords, bows and pants cost the same.
*Taking an item from level 0 to level 20 costs $105,000, 690 Mystic Dust and 640 Jewel Shards in total.
*Each level from 11 to 20 gives a Jewel item +1 life and +1 maximum life.
*A Jewel item at level 16 or higher can no longer be traded.

Major Upgrades
Levels 1, 5, 10, 15 and 20 are Major Upgrades. They ask for confirmation and play an animation at the well, which you can skip by clicking the well. Each one adds or improves an Attribute:
Item level !! Attribute 1 !! Attribute 2 !! Attribute 3
1 || New, level I || – || –
5 || Level II || – || –
10 || Level III || New, level I || –
15 || Level III || Level II || –
20 || Level III || Level II || New, level I
At Ascension X the third Attribute goes up to level II.

Attributes
Attributes are passive bonuses on a mystic item. An item has up to 3. Each new Attribute is picked at random from the pool for that item type, and an item never has the same Attribute twice. An Attribute's level (I to III) comes from the item's level, as shown under Major Upgrades.

*A sword's Attributes work while you hold it, and pants' work while you wear them. A bow's combat Attributes work on the arrows it shoots, but its Bonus XP, Bonus Coins and Mastery XP only count while you hold the bow.
*Bonus XP, Bonus Coins and Mastery XP from your pants add to those of the sword or bow in your hand.
*Damage percentages add together with the hit's other bonuses, like enchant percentages do (see Combat).

Attribute Buff Booster
An Attribute Buff Booster permanently raises one Attribute on a mystic item by 1 level, to at most level III. Hold it and right-click, then pick the item and the Attribute.
*Each item can take only one Booster.
*It only works on the second or third Attribute, because the first one reaches level III on its own. The item needs to be level 10 or higher.
*A boosted second Attribute is level II from item level 10 and level III from item level 15. A boosted third Attribute is level II at level 20 and level III at Ascension X.
*Boosters are sometimes offered in the Spectral Market, which the Sinister Syndicate Renown upgrade unlocks, for $10 to $15 billion.

Attribute list
Values are for Attribute level I / II / III.
Day and night follow the lobby's day and night cycle.

Attribute Rerollers
An item's Attributes can be changed at the Mystic Well with the Reroll Attributes button, which appears once the item has an Attribute:
*An Attribute Reroller rerolls every Attribute on the item into a new random one from the item's pool. An Attribute can come back as the same type.
*A Single Attribute Reroller rerolls one Attribute of your choice into a random one the item does not already have.
Rerolling changes only the type: each slot keeps its level.

*Attribute Rerollers come from Riftwalker sacrifice rewards (about 5% of reward rolls), from Epic Mystery Boxes from Prestige 40 (10%), and are sometimes offered in the Spectral Market for $250,000,000 to $500,000,000.
*Single Attribute Rerollers are rewards on the reward board of some limited-time events.
*Dust Bundles, both rerollers and Boosters also turn up in store deals from time to time.

Ascension
At level 20 the Level Up button becomes Ascend. An item can be ascended 10 times, from Ascension I to Ascension X, shown on the item as [✦I] to [✦X]. Each ascension:
*gives the item +0.5% melee damage (swords), +0.5% arrow damage (bows) or -0.5% damage taken from all hits (pants), up to 5% at Ascension X;
*on a sword, also adds +0.025 to the Damage stat, so a level 20 sword at Ascension X has Damage 9;
*on a Jewel item, adds +1 life and +1 maximum life.
Ascension X also raises the item's third Attribute to level II and turns a sword into a diamond sword.

Ascension !! Coins !! Mystic Dust !! Jewel Shards
I || $250,000,000 || 100 || 64
II || $450,000,000 || 200 || 64
III || $810,000,000 || 300 || 64
IV || $1,458,000,000 || 400 || 64
V || $2,624,400,000 || 500 || 64
VI || $4,723,920,000 || 600 || 64
VII || $8,503,056,000 || 700 || 64
VIII || $15,305,500,800 || 800 || 64
IX || $27,549,901,440 || 900 || 64
X || $49,589,822,592 || 1,000 || 64
Ascending an item all the way to X costs about $111.3 billion, 5,500 Mystic Dust and 640 Jewel Shards. Together with item levels 11 to 20, a Jewel item gains up to 20 lives from levelling and ascending.

Mystic Dust
Mystic Dust is the material used to level up and ascend mystic items. Only Mystic Dust and Jewel Shards in your inventory count: take them out of Giga Storage or a Dust Bucket first. The Pawn Shop buys Mystic Dust for $2,000 each.

Ways to get Mystic Dust:
*Incinerating Jewel items (below).
*Killing bots while on a megastreak: at most once every 1.5 seconds, a kill has a 1% chance to drop 2–8 Mystic Dust, three times as much from a Prismatic Bot. You can get up to 250 a day this way, and drops get smaller as you near the limit. The Mystic Well shows your progress under Daily Mystic Dust.
*Dust Bundles (16–32 Mystic Dust, 2% chance of 64) and Mini Dust Bundles (8–16, 2% chance of 32), opened by right-clicking.
**Dust Bundles: Ultimate Uberdrops (3.5% per pick), Uncommon, Rare and Epic Mystery Boxes, the Mining Shop from Mining level 56 (64 Emeralds and 30 Night Shards), Brutish and Shiny Vermin from the Hermit megastreak, and the store (399 Gems).
**Mini Dust Bundles: Super Uberdrops (7%) and Common Mystery Boxes.
*Sewer Chests, from Prestige 19: each of a chest's 2–3 rewards has a 3% chance to be 1 Mystic Dust.

Incinerating
The Mystic Well's Incinerate button permanently destroys the item in the well. Items locked with <code>/lockitem</code> cannot be incinerated. Regular mystic items get the button once they have 3 enchants, Jewel items at any time.
*A Jewel item gives 3–8 Mystic Dust, or 8–32 if it has a Resurrector enchant, plus, for each life it has left, a 1% chance of 1 extra Mystic Dust.
*A Jewel item whose Jewel enchant is a <span style="color:#FF55FF">RARE!</span> enchant also gives 1–8 Jewel Shards.
*Any mystic item gives back one third of the normal Coins, Mystic Dust and Jewel Shards cost of its levels and ascensions. Stored shards on the item are lost.
*The Dust Compactor 4000 incinerates every unfinished Hidden Jewel item in your inventory at once, with the same rewards. It is sold in the Farm Shop for 500 Farm Respect from Farming level 81.
Incinerating Jewels and spending Mystic Dust count toward the Battlepass challenges Incinerate Jewels and Recycling.

Items from before item levels
Mystic items made before item levels were added were converted automatically:
*Their old upgrades became item levels, and their old buffs became Attributes.
*Some Jewel items got stored shards in place of Jewel Shards that had been applied to them: 64 for each extra life those shards had added. The item shows them as Stored Jewel Shards: N. They pay that item's Jewel Shard costs first, on level-ups and ascensions.
*An item that is owed a refund shows Refund waiting - visit the Mystic Well!. The refund is paid when you put the item in the well.

Tryhard Bots are rare, powerful bots that can spawn to hunt you when you kill a bot. They have 30 max hearts, wear diamond gear, strafe around you and hit much harder than normal bots, but drop valuable rewards.

Spawning
*From Prestige 5, each bot you kill has a 0.2% chance to spawn a Tryhard Bot that hunts you.
*After a Tryhard Bot spawns for you, another cannot spawn for 5 minutes. Tryhard Bots from fishing and from Soulshredder also start this cooldown.
*They do not spawn while you are on a megastreak, unless you have the Mastery Tree node Demonsplit turned on. They never spawn while you are on Riftwalker.
*The Apocalyptic Uberstreak debuff "Tryhard Bot spawning enabled" lets them spawn during that megastreak.
*Other ways to meet them:
**the Trying Harder fishing enchant can fish one up;
**the "Two Tryhards" debuff of Soulshredder sends two after you;
**the Riftslayer Crown stat "Tryhard Bot Spawn Chance" raises the spawn chance (see Riftslayer Crowns).

Badges
Badges change the spawn chance and cooldown. Right-click a badge to switch its setting between Increased, Decreased and Normal; new badges start on Normal. If you carry several badges, only the first one in your inventory counts, and badges stored in a Relic Satchel count first.
Decreased || colspan="2" | Tryhard Bots do not spawn from bot kills

Fighting a Tryhard Bot
*It has 30 max hearts, a diamond helmet, chestplate and boots, Resistance II and Strength II, and cannot be given Weakness.
*Each hit deals up to about 2.5❤ and gives Wither for 4 seconds. When you are below 5❤, most of its hits are much weaker. With Demonsplit on, its hits deal 50% more.
*It strafes around you, backs off when it gets too close, and jumps.
*If you run more than 20 blocks away (outside spawn), it deals 2❤ of true damage every second and pulls you back towards it.
*It leaves after 75 seconds ("TOO SLOW!"). It also disappears if you go into spawn or log off.
*Other players can hit it, but deal only 25% damage. Only the player it is hunting gets the Tryhard rewards.

Evolved Tryhard Bots
The Mastery Tree node Evolved Tryhard Bots (5 tiers, toggleable) makes your Tryhard Bots harder and more rewarding:
*+25% health per tier.
*At half health the bot stands still and becomes immune. It fires orbs that deal 1❤ of true damage when they land near you, and summons a zombie and a skeleton guard with 120 hearts each that only you can damage. It fights on once both guards are dead.
*All drop chances, and the Mastery XP and Megacoin amounts, are raised by 10% per tier (up to +50%).

Rewards
Killing a Tryhard Bot that is hunting you gives:
Reward !! Chance
5,000 XP and 5,000 coins, on top of the normal kill || 100%
50 Mastery XP || 100%
100–500 Megacoins (from Prestige 12) || 100%
If your Reward Chest has no charges left, it gets one back (from Prestige 1) || 5%
Super Uberdrop || 3%
Ultimate Uberdrop || 0.5%
Slayer Badge || 2% (0.2% while your active badge is an Exterminator Badge)
*Your guild gets 25 guild XP.
*With The Pact active and the Tryhard Conversion blessing, you also get 10 Soul Shards.
*Each kill adds to the kill counter on your Slayer, Destructor, Obliterator or Exterminator Badge. The badge's coin and XP bonus grows with each extra digit in that count (at 10, 100, 1,000 kills and so on).
*Tryhard Bot kills count towards the "Kill 15 Tryhard Bots" contract and the Tryhard Bot Kills leaderboard.

Diamond Armor is the main armor in Pit Sandbox: a diamond helmet, chestplate and boots whose Protection level is upgraded at Marcus. The leg slot is for Mystic Pants instead.

Obtaining
*New players receive a Protection I set in the Starter Kit.
*Marcus's Armor Upgrades menu has a free Beginner's Armor button that gives a Protection I helmet, chestplate and boots at any time.
*Diamond Armor is kept on death.

Protection
*Each Protection level on a piece reduces the damage you take by 2.5%. The item's lore shows the total for that piece, for example "Protection IV (-10% damage)".
*The three pieces add up: a full Protection VII set reduces damage by 52.5%.
*Your prestige limits the Protection level that counts. A piece above your limit shows the extra levels crossed out in its lore.
Prestige !! Highest Protection that counts
0–16 || II
17–23 || III
24–37 || IV
38–53 || V
54–74 || VI
75+ || VII

Upgrading
Wear the piece you want to upgrade and open Marcus's Armor Upgrades menu. Each upgrade raises one piece by one Protection level, after a confirmation.
Upgrade !! Prestige !! Helmet !! Chestplate !! Boots
I → II || 1 (helmet), 2 (chestplate), 3 (boots) || Free || Free || Free
II → III || 17 || $235,000 || $202,000 || $320,000
III → IV || 24 || $4,648,000 || $139,906,000 || $4,648,000
IV → V || 38 || $167,520,000 || $294,980,000 || $167,520,000
V → VI || 54 || $750,080,000 || $1,579,920,000 || $750,080,000
VI → VII || 75 || $2,500,000,000 || $6,500,000,000 || $2,500,000,000
*Runes are applied to Diamond Armor through Runecrafting.
*If the piece has a rune on it, each upgrade has a 30% chance to destroy the rune. Shiny runes are never lost.

Chestplate abilities
From Prestige 24, a Diamond Chestplate at Protection IV or higher can get one special ability. Right-click the chestplate in the Armor Upgrades menu to choose it. A chestplate can only have one ability.
Ability !! Effect !! Cost
Counter-Offensive || Gain Speed II for 4 seconds on every 4th hit you take. || $4,950,000 and 32 Moon Stones
Fabric of Divinity || 10% chance to keep your Jewel item lives when you die. || $49,500,000 and 32 Inventory Beacons
Remarkable Resilience || Take 15% less damage while you have absorption hearts. || $495,000,000 and 32 Dark Matter
Adding an ability has the same 30% chance to destroy a rune on the chestplate.

Diamond Infusion
Diamond Dust infuses Diamond Armor for a little extra defense. Hold it and right-click, then pick the helmet, chestplate or boots you are wearing.
*Each Diamond Dust adds 10 to 20 charge to the piece. Filling the piece's bar raises its Infusion level, up to V.
*Each level needs more charge than the last: 100, 300, 800, 2,000 and 5,000.
*Each Infusion level reduces the damage you take by 0.5%, up to 2.5% per piece and 7.5% for a full set.
*Diamond Dust comes from store deals.
