Streaks and Bounties are the core risk-and-reward loop of Pit Sandbox. Every kill without dying raises your streak and your rewards, and a long streak puts a growing gold bounty on your head. ==Streaks== Your streak (kill streak) counts your kills since your last death. Bot kills count the same as player kills. Your earnings grow the longer you survive, and many systems trigger at streak thresholds, including killstreaks and megastreaks. Dying resets your streak to 0. The longer you survive, the more you earn, but the more you stand to lose. ===Streak XP bonus=== Kills give extra base XP depending on your current streak. The bonus is added before your XP multipliers. {| class="wikitable" ! Streak !! Bonus XP per kill |- | 3β4 || +2 |- | 5β19 || +4 |- | 20β29 || +5 |- | 30β39 || +6 |- | 40β49 || +11 |- | 50β59 || +14 |- | 60β69 || +17 |- | 70β79 || +20 |- | 80+ || +22 |} With the Experience-Industrial Complex Renown upgrade, the bonus keeps growing past 80 streak instead of stopping at +22: {| class="wikitable" ! Streak !! Bonus XP per kill |- | 80β89 || +25 |- | 90β99 || +28 |- | 100β109 || +30 |- | 110β119 || +33 |- | 120β129 || +36 |- | 130β139 || +40 |- | 140β149 || +42 |- | 150β159 || +45 |- | 160β169 || +47 |- | 170β179 || +49 |- | 180β189 || +52 |- | 190β199 || +55 |- | 200+ || +58 |} ==Bounties== Once your streak is above 6, each kill has a chance to add a bounty bump to you: 15% on a bot kill and 80% on a player kill. The bounty is a gold value that stacks over time and stays on you until someone kills you. Players who have bounty messages turned on in their settings are told when a bounty is placed or bumped. {| class="wikitable" ! Your streak !! Bounty bump |- | 7β10 || $100 |- | 11β20 || $150 |- | 21β30 || $250 |- | 31β40 || $300 |- | 41β50 || $400 |- | 51+ || $600 |} The Bounty Bottler enchant greatly reduces your own bounty bumps. ===Bounty cap=== *The standard bounty cap is $100,000. *The Highlander megastreak raises it by $100,000 while active. *The On the Run node in the Mastery Tree adds another $100,000 per tier, up to +$400,000 at tier 4. ===Claiming a bounty=== Other players can see your bounty. Kill a bounty target and you collect their whole bounty. Some effects multiply the bounty you claim, such as the Locked on Target perk. With Highlander active, you also receive your own bounty when you die. For early-game players, bounties create natural PvP tension: high-bounty players become hunted. Later in progression bounties matter less next to your income, but they are still a PvP incentive and several effects use them: *David and Goliath reduces damage taken from players with a bounty of $1,000 or more. *Self-checkout lets you cash out your own bounty. *Highlander deals +20% damage to players with a bounty. *The Khanate killstreak deals bonus damage to players with a bounty.
