==Soul Shards== '''Soul Shards''' are the currency of [[Xaroth]], unlocked with the [[Renown#Upgrade list|Bad Decisions]] Renown upgrade. They come from kills while [[Pit Sandbox#Key terms|The Pact]] is active, from bosses and from the [[Megastreaks#Soulshredder|Soulshredder]] megastreak. Some Xaroth cards add bonus shards, for example after completing a Night Quest. Shards start '''unbanked'''. Any player who kills you while you carry unbanked shards loots them from you. To keep them, escape to spawn through an extraction point, which banks them. You can hold up to 2,500 banked Soul Shards. Spend 200 shards to raise your Xaroth reputation by one level and choose one of two cards to unlock; extra copies of a card make it stronger. See [[Xaroth]] for the cards.
