You earn it from kills on bots and players, from claiming [[Streaks and Bounties|bounties]], from [[Events|events]] and from many other rewards. Each kill pays a base amount that is raised by your multipliers, up to a per-kill coin cap. Gold is spent on almost everything: [[Upgrades|upgrades]], [[Killstreaks|killstreaks]], [[Megastreaks|megastreaks]], [[Enchantments|enchanting]], armor and items. Your gold is kept when you prestige.
