==Boss Modifiers==
When a boss is loaded into an altar it can roll a '''modifier''' that changes its stats and adds a mechanic. The chance is 25% (30% for Epic bosses), plus 1% per Hunting level, up to 55%. Curses roll with a 25% higher chance. Celestial and Timetwisted are rarer than the others, and a Celestial boss always gets one extra modifier. The Challenger talent gives a further chance at an extra modifier.

Each modifier except Weak raises the boss's rewards: +10% Hunting XP and boss materials per modifier (+20% for Cthonic), and a little over twice that for XP and coins. Health and Speed multiply the boss's stats; the Damage multiplier applies to its normal hits. Swift also makes special attacks trigger more often. Each modifier also adds its own rare drop (see [[#Modifier drops|Modifier drops]]).
