===CTHONIC phases===
At a sacrifice point, the Rift Choice menu may offer a '''CTHONIC PHASE''' ("The Deal"). Choosing it makes the next CHAOS phase CTHONIC:
*+2 Rift Attacks for that phase.
*3x phase rewards: each CTHONIC phase you complete adds 2 rewards to your sacrifice.
*If you die, the run's sacrifice rewards are lost as usual.
The chance of being offered a CTHONIC phase is 0% until Riftwalker level 6. From level 6 it is 10% plus 1% per level above 5 (11% at level 6, 30% at level 25). The Planted Boots trinket adds 5–30%, and with it you cannot turn the offer down: the CTHONIC phase replaces Keep Fighting, though you can still sacrifice.
