==Fighting a boss== *You can only be in one boss fight at a time, and you cannot summon a boss within 5 seconds of being hit (unless The Pact is active). After anyone summons a boss at an altar, that altar is locked for everyone for 10 seconds. *While you are fighting a boss you cannot hit other players and they cannot hit you. The exception is a boss with the Cthonic modifier. *Each boss has a time limit (see Boss Types). If it runs out, or every player in the fight dies or leaves, the boss despawns. *If you die or log out during a fight you are removed from it. *Bosses cannot be damaged by arrows, and many special attacks make the boss immune while they run. *Special attacks deal true damage that ignores armour, and every special attack that hits you is listed in chat with a VIEW RECAP button that breaks down the damage. *Bosses reduce your healing. Every boss has a base 20% healing reduction while you fight it, and each special attack that hits you adds more for the rest of the fight (2.5% or 5% for most attacks; a Plasma Nuke that detonates adds 100%). Passives such as Rot and Hunter's Mark add their own reductions. *You must deal at least 10 damage to a boss to get any rewards from it.
