The Obelisk is a structure on the map where you sacrifice Starless Ash from bosses in exchange for coins, XP and other rewards. Each player has their own Obelisk progress: its level and upgrades stay with you permanently.

Repairing the Obelisk
The Obelisk starts out broken. To repair it you need:
*Hunting Level 3
*10 Starless Ash
*4 Rancid Flesh
*4 Dusty Bone

Once it is repaired you can sacrifice to it, buy its upgrades, and your boss kills start filling Gareth's Curse Meter (see Curses).

Sacrifice
Each sacrifice costs 32 Starless Ash. The Obelisk rolls your rewards with an animation; click the Obelisk to fast-forward it. The Sacrifice button shows the most you can currently get from each reward.

*XP: rolled between 50% and 150% of a base amount that scales with your prestige. Raised by the Greed upgrade and your Obelisk Level.
*Coins: rolled within a range that scales with your prestige (see the table below). Raised by the Greed upgrade and your Obelisk Level.
*Obelisk XP: 100–200, raised by the Blessing upgrade and Starborn Scrolls. Used to level up the Obelisk.
*Encrusted Cache: a 9% chance, rising to 12% at Obelisk Level 100. It contains a random Ancient Enchant Tome (see Ancient Enchant Tomes). Getting one is announced to the server.
*Upgrade rolls: if you own Aura, Materialism or Sanguine Shift, each one then rolls its own chance (see Upgrades).

Base coin range before any bonuses:
Prestige !! Coins
0 || 10,000 – 50,000
10 || 121,500 – 739,000
20 || 256,000 – 1,896,000
30 || 418,000 – 3,762,000
40 || 610,000 – 6,687,000
50 || 839,000 – 11,179,000

Potential percentage
Each rolled reward shows how lucky the roll was, as a percentage of its possible range:
*<span style="color:#FF5555">0–25%</span>
*<span style="color:#FFAA00">26–50%</span>
*<span style="color:#FFFF55">51–75%</span>
*<span style="color:#55FF55">76–99%</span>
*<span style="color:#55FFFF">100%</span> (the maximum roll)

Obelisk Level
The Obelisk levels from 1 to 100 using Obelisk XP from sacrifices. Each level needs more Obelisk XP than the one before. Every level adds:
*Sacrifice reward bonus: +0.5% coins and XP from sacrifices (+50% at level 100).
*Bonus coins and XP: +0.25% coins and XP from kills (+25% at level 100). The Growth upgrade increases this bonus.
*Encrusted Cache chance: +0.03% (+3% at level 100).

Reaching Level 100 is announced to the whole server and awards an edition-numbered Obelisk Chunk.

Upgrades
The Obelisk has 10 upgrade tracks with 25 levels each. Upgrades are bought with boss materials. Every track uses one main material at every level, most add a second material from level 11 (or use Opals at every level), and levels 21–25 each also need 1 Obelisk Alloy. The amounts grow with each level.

The Obelisk Level column lists the Obelisk Level needed to buy upgrade levels 1–7, 8–13, 14–19 and 20–25.

Each Aura stack lasts for one boss fight. While you have at least one stack, you deal +20% damage to bosses and get +20% boss materials and rare drop chance. Killing a boss you dealt at least 10 damage to, or dying or logging out during a fight, uses up 1 stack. A boss that times out does not use one.

172.71.178.141: Rebuild from the current game data and the Pit Sandbox content reference

The Mastery Tree is a large grid of permanent upgrades bought with Mastery Points. It is where you unlock every megastreak except Overdrive, and where you buy the nodes that power them up.

Overview
* Open the Mastery Tree by talking to the Wizard. It cannot be opened while you are on a megastreak.
* The tree has 114 nodes: 13 megastreak unlocks and 101 upgrades. The menu shows four rows at a time; use the arrows to scroll up and down.
* Each node costs between 1 and 20 Mastery Points per tier and has up to 10 tiers (Singularity has 1,000). Megastreak nodes are bought once.
* A node is locked until you own the node before it on its path, and some nodes also need a minimum prestige.
* Toggleable nodes can be switched on and off with a right-click once you own them. Right-clicking an unlocked Hermit, Soulshredder or Riftwalker node shows more information about that megastreak.
* Mastery Tree upgrades are kept through prestige.
* Unlocking a megastreak node lets you buy that megastreak with coins in the Upgrades menu at Rocky.
* Buying every node except Singularity costs about 2,850 Mastery Points, so most players work towards the branch of the megastreak they use.

Mastery Points
Every 1,000 Mastery XP turns into 1 Mastery Point. Mastery XP comes from:
* Killing bots while a megastreak is active: 1 to 2 Mastery XP per kill, at most once every 1.5 seconds. The Professional node shortens the wait, and Nightmare and the Treason blessing add more per kill.
* Killing a Tryhard Bot (50 Mastery XP).
* Reward Chests.
* Boss hunting, with the right Hunting Talent Tree node.
* Cashing in a bounty with the Self-checkout enchant.
Mastery Points also come directly from prestiging (+5 each time), Daily Rewards, the Battlepass, Guilds and Golden Berries.

You can hold at most 40 unspent Mastery Points. At the cap, any Mastery XP that would become a new point is lost, and most other point rewards stop at 40, so spend your points before you reach it. A few rewards, such as the Daily Rewards gift, can take you past 40. The cap limits saved points, not the total you can spend over time.

If you do not have enough points for a node, clicking it offers to buy the missing Mastery XP with Gems (about 0.4 Gems per Mastery XP). This uses up all your saved points and Mastery XP as well.

Megastreak nodes
